TOPIC: WHAT EXACTLY IS THE PROBLEM?
TEXT: MATTHEW 11:16-17
” To what can I compare this generation? It is like children playing a game in the public square. They complain to their friends,
‘ We played wedding songs , and you didn’t dance, so we played funeral songs, and you didn’t mourn.’
Your faith in God is neither because the need is small or big.
We have Christians who can not trust God to supply their needs, whether big or small.
God wants us to see Him in every matter that concerns us.
Our generation taught us to see God only in a big thing. That’s an error.
God can send someone to you to just say “thank you”
He can send someone to you to give you one cent, a loaf of bread ????, a cup of cold water ????
You miss God in big things because you never acknowledge Him in small things.
King David taught us not to forget any of God’s benefits.
Jesus received the 2 ???? ???? and 5 ???? ???? ???? ???? ???? with grateful heart. He lifted up his eyes to heaven and gave God thanks.
How many times has your soul casted down because what you received was below your expectation.
Sometimes ago I sent 5,000 naira to someone because I didn’t really have money in my account. To my greatest surprise, the person sent prayers and kept sending with signs of exclamations.
I have to call the women who sent the money to lend me money and add to the amount sent to the woman.
If me as a human being can be moved, how much more God.
There are christians who are so used to God’s goodness that those goodness will definitely stop soon or later.
Mathew 11:23
“And you people of Capernaum, will you be honored in heaven? No, you will go down to the place of the dead. For if the miracles I did for you had been done in wicked Sodom, it would still be here today.”
There are christians who are so ungrateful to both humans and God.
When will you start being grateful ????????
When will you start dancing to God over what you call small.
God is weighing your actions.
1 Samuel 2:3
Talk no more so exceeding proudly; Let not arrogancy come out of your mouth: For the LORD is a God of knowledge, And by him actions are weighed.
Jesus Christ our perfect example gave thanks for just 2 fishes and 5 loaves even though small compared to the thousands of people He wanted to feed.
He told the disciples to arrange them to sit. He started with what he had. He broke and started distributing it.
There are Christians who will never accomplish any great things because they are waiting for everything to be ready.
When I was in Nigeria working as a teacher, I added farming ???? and also used my car ???? for transportation after the day’s work. I also did home lesson for students.
No single person who helped me except God who gave me ideas and opportunities to make most use of them. I remembered I even sold plantain chips to fellow staff in school.
I hate poverty! I walked out of poverty. Am not compatible with poverty.
Only a lazy man will complain there is a lion in the street.
God’s hands ✋️ ???? formed man, and the same hands planted the big garden of Eden.
The size of man compared to the garden was so small. The Lord who does great things also expresses Himself through what we call small.
The God who is bigger than the universe grew like a baby in the womb of Mary.
You don’t need to be still to see huge elephants. You will need to stand still to notice tiny ants ????.
When God says you should be still and know He is God, He is saying you will know a larger part of Him in small things. You can’t really take note of small things except you remain still.
Except you are converted and become like a little child, you can not function in God’s domain.
May you and I be kind of Generation that see God in all things!
