TOPIC: OBEDIENCE PART 2
TEXT: 1 John 5:3
It took long in my Christian journey before I knew what was Father’s love ❤️
I happened to have seen both the old generation and this new one.
The old generation taught us more about the fierceness of Angry God. We were told that God loves us but much more, that God was angry with us everyday if we ever made a mistake.
We therefore lived, trying not to offend Him. They taught us that, even if we shake hands ? with a sister, we were on our way to hell. We became a confused generation living by faith and fear.
We knew little about earthly fatherly love as well.
The new generation we live now is even worse. It is like jumping from frying pan into fire ?
They are generation that use God. They don’t know what loving God is.
A generation that ‘threaten God’ with, “I will return back to my vomit” at a slight challenge.
“God give me this, God, give me that…” or else I will quit serving you.
A generation that do not know what The Father’s love is.
A generation that fight everyday on social media.
If there is nothing to argue about or be angry about, they are sad and depressed.
A generation that keep receiving from the Father, yet never grateful.
A generation that only rejoice for a moment at the point of breakthroughs and afterwards resume back to murmur.
The journey of children of Isreal was the picture of the two.
A stiffnecked generation.
They asked Aron to design for them a god whom they could position the way they wanted, carry about, control and at the same time bow ?♀️ to worship.
At the bitter water ?, they could ‘slap God’ with their left and when the water ? turned sweet, they use their right hands to crown Him King.
Love ❤️ supposed to be mutual. The entire script of the Bible is the story of love between God and man.
When I was in Zaria far back as 1994/1995, when we attended prayer vigil, it wasn’t because we wanted to pray for our personal needs. We pray for saints around the globe ? from 9pm to 5am and then make the last request for our own needs
Mummy Oni of a blessed memory was my prayer leader. Pastor Mike Rotimi Ojuekaye and Pastor Wole Ashonibare were my youth leaders, Prof. Onaolapo was my Pastor, Pastor Busayo Olayinka was our Bible study teacher. Am also grateful to God for Dr. Olusegun Ayodele Dairo whom Prophetic ministry has been a tremendous blessing to me far back in Zaria.
That was where I experienced The Father’s love until over 20 years after.
Today, everything has changed in our world. There are more churches now everywhere, especially in Africa.
“The harvest is past, The summer is ended, And we are not saved!” Jeremiah 8:20
Then, I walked from college of Agric, Samaru Zaria to paladan, near Aviation college(more than an hour treck) for Bible study and vigil and sometimes fasting without food to break except mangoes ?
Today, anyone who suffers just for a while in our present generation may be viewed as a sinner.
” After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, *will Himself* perfect, confirm, strengthen, and establish you” 1 Peter 5:10
With all of God’s goodness to us, what is making this last day more difficult is self love,
“But realize this, that in the *last days difficult times will be present.* For *men will be lovers of self,*
2 Timothy 3:1,2
In Hebrew 5:10, God made it clear:
Even though Jesus was God’s Son, he learned obedience from the things he suffered.”
Don’t make obedience a hard thing. Obedience is equated to Holiness.
In the end of my journey in Zaria, The Lord spoke to me that He as my Father allowed me to go through all I went through to teach me that, man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceed from the mouth of Him(God)
I remembered when I was about leaving Zaria and Bishop David Bakare(JAWOM Ministry) prayed with me in his office, I felt the same love and throughout my journey, even with so many falls and rise, that very love sustained me.
“Behold, *what manner of love* the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: *therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.”* 1 John 3:1
To obey is better than sacrifice and to hearken than fat ram.
May The God of all grace give us grace for obeying Him. What God keep emphasizing is obedience from the heart.
And that leads us to our theme for February in all our prayer groups- THE GOD OF ALL GRACE
Prayer/confession: Today, I know that The Father Himself loves me and I love Him. I am on a journey as pilgrim on earth and The Father is ever present with me because He hath loved me with an everlasting love.
Prophetic: Yesterday, i received a voice note as confirmation after that The Lord spoke about accommodation. Today, door has been opened. Go in and possess your possessions.
