TOPIC: Laughter- God’s middle name
TEXT: Genesis 18: 1-15. Gen. 21:1-7
It is often said that Laughter is good for the soul. Medical tells us it is also good for the body.
Laughter is a gift from God. If God doesn’t laugh, there will be no need for us to laugh.
Laughter is important part of our heritage.
We can say Laughter is God’s middle name.
“I am The God of your father Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob”
Exodus 3:6
Each of these names have meaning.
The middle one(Isaac) means ” LAUGHTER ”
When God told Abraham that his wife would conceive, when Sarah heard she laughed.
She laughed because ‘it is impossible”
God makes promises that looks so impossible and sometimes, we laugh because we don’t see how they could come to pass.
However, because God takes delight in Laughter, He made the name of the fulfilled promises Laughter.
That tells me, Laughter is the mother of fulfilled promises.
” At destruction and famine thou shalt laugh”
Job 5:22
This scripture didn’t say “thou may laugh” but thou shall laugh
There are Christians who must behave like the situation they go through want them to feel or behave. By so doing, they think that will move God into action.
However, this always makes the Angel sent to them find it hard to recognize or locate them.
The Angel is looking for someone who laughs at destruction and famine and not someone who cries in it.
There are even folks who are always sad that they are happy. Anywhere they find themselves, they must cause a problem for someone so that everyone will feel the same way they feel.
They take life so seriously. When people laugh around them, they wonder why?
The time has come for believers to come back in alignment and back into their identity.
“He who sits in the heavens shall laugh” Psalm 2:4
God is not the only one who sits in the heavens.
“and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,” Eph 2:6

Prayer/confession:
I am seated with Christ in heavenly places. I have rights to laugh. Out of my laughter will come my Isaac of promise.
Prophetic: God doesn’t shortchange His promises. All the promises of God in Christ are yes and amen. I say to all your prayers today DONE ✔️ keep laughing and get the devil confused about your situation. Amen 🙏🏻
