TOPIC: HAVING DONE ALL STAND ( PART 4)
TEXT: *Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.* Ephesians 6:13
Today, We are dealing with the subject *SOUL* under ” *Having done all stand* ”
” *Why, my soul, are you so dejected? Why are you in such turmoil?* Put your hope in God, for I will still praise him, my Savior and my God.”
Psalm 42:5
The soul is the seat or table upon which *THOUGHT, WILL, MEMORY, INTELLIGENCE, EMOTION, SUBCONSCIOUS* (Dream) are mounted.
If the soul is not cultivated or trained after the inward man( recreated human spirit) which is born again, it tends to act based on the information available to it.
It fetches instructions from both the body(senses) and the human spirit.
If the human spirit supplies nothing, Whatever passes through the senses then becomes what is available for the soul to feed on.
The soul is like the middleman between the spirit and the body.
When a child of God does not feed his or her spirit with God’s Word, the soul will only have one option left, and that is to extract from the senses.
When the soul have enough information from the senses through the body, it the becomes a stronghold against the human spirit.
The spirit of man that is suppose to sustain the weakness of the body is itself is weak because of lack of the food(spoken word of God)
When the soul and the body team up against the spirit, the professed Christian will start to act in the flesh.
The flesh therefore is a way of thinking that negates God’s Word.
