TOPIC : FULFILLING OUR PART IN GOD’S PROMISES
TEXT: HEBREW 10:36
“For ye have need of patience, that having done the will of God, ye may receive the promise.”
Know this, that God will never ask you to do what He knows is impossible.
Psalm 55:22
” He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.”
The silent question in the heart of every of God’s children is
” Why does God always involve us in whatever He does on earth?”
The answer is, ” God does it through us.”
Let me ask you, IF YOU WANT TO BOIL EGG ???? DO YOU NEED JUST HEAT AND WATER ?????
God is the subject, and we are objects like that egg. If the egg is missing, nothing else is necessary.
The reason for anything happening on earth ???? is only because of God and us His image-bearer.
Every other is just like water ???? and fire ???? that is required to boil the egg.
Whatever situation you find yourself, God had determined that through that situation, you will know a portion of Him.
” That I may know Him.”
Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God,” John 17:3
God was not happy with a whole generation because the structure He designed through their journey IN ORDER TO GET THEM TO KNOW GOD WAS NOT ACCOMPLISHED.
They kept on getting their challenges solved through moses without getting a personal revelation knowledge of God through that situation. Hmm…
The way God related to patriarchs of old is that, in any challenge they faced, God revealed Himself to them in the way they never knew before, and they built altar, which means PASSING THE SAME KNOWLEDGE TO ANOTHER GENERATION
Let me ask you, in all of the challenges of life, which of them got you closer to God when God solved them?
When a people of God receive His goodness, but nothing affects their behavior towards God positively, it means that challenge was a waste as far as God is concerned.
Every challenge comes to reveal a portion of God we didn’t know in order to make us more like Him.
David said,
” Before I was afflicted, I went astray, but now I obey your word ” Psalm 119:57
I can say with all confidence that God is not slack concerning His promises as some think.
