TOPIC : THE VOICE OF ONE CRYING IN THE WILDERNESS
TEXT: LUKE 1:17
“And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord..”
Everyone has a voice. Sometimes, the voice is not in popular places.
God is so serious about the voice He assigned to you.
Those who roam around wandering in the wilderness of life only need to know the voice assigned to their lives.
When I found mine, I didn’t call him college, but father.
It is a sad thing for so many children of God who see the voice assigned to them as colleagues, neighbors, husband, or whatever….
Even Jesus knew John The Baptist was His voice. Imagine Jesus traveled to come meet him at Jordan.
Jesus’ heaven didn’t open because he fasted, but because he located that voice.
It was after he located the voice that his 40 days that fasting was meaningful. Then, the Holy Spirit led him to the wilderness.
When I located the voice of God for my life, I always honor with gifts.
When some Christians finally connect with their voice or father, they begin to ask, “Give me, give me.”
Guess what they ask? Material things.
I do not know why Abraham did distribute his possessions to slaves and the only thing he gave Isaac was, “he spoke only voice over him.” The same is applicable to Ishmael. He gave only a piece of bread ???? and a bottle of water but spoke a word over him. Today, Arab nations are richer than most nations that you know.
Am always careful about people who see no other in people than material things
Some just woke up one day and said this G.O. or that Bishop is my Father! How?
“He will choose our inheritance for us,”
Psalm 47:4
Not possible for a baby to choose the father that gave birth to Him.
Paul warned⚠️
‘For if you were to have countless tutors in Christ, yet you would not have many fathers, for in Christ Jesus, I became your father through the gospel.”
1 cor 4:15
John The Baptist explained how:
“And I myself did not know him , but the one who sent me to baptize with water told me, ‘The man on whom you see the Spirit come down and remain is the one who will baptize with the Holy Spirit.’
John 1:33
The devil may keep repeating the role He played in your life in the past until they connect with the voice assigned to you.
For David, the only voice he had was Samuel, but he had to Serve A Fallen Leader Named Saul before He Could Be Faithful in Serving a Nation! Today, some can not even serve upright leaders
May the Lord give you understanding.
