Our walk with God will often mean we are misjudged by people who do not know God. This is because God will use foolish and weak things to show forth His glory.
In 1 Cor 1:27 NLT, Paul wrote that
“Instead, God chose things the world considers foolish to shame those who think they are wise. And he chose things that are powerless to shame those who are powerful ”
This is usually hard for us because it means we will be called weak and foolish in trying to please God. It is especially heartbreaking that most of the criticisms will come from family and friends.
It is all about perspective. When we do the will of God, as empowered and led by His Spirit, many do not see the Strength and wisdom in what we are doing. They cannot, it is foolishness to them till the result shows.
To get the best of God’s strength, we have to acknowledge our weaknesses, To get God’s wisdom, we have to embrace the fact that our wisdom is carnal and limited.
To have God as provider, we must accept that all we have achieved we couldn’t have done it without His provision and help.
So, when God calls for you to surrender to Him in any area, please do. It is a great opportunity that many do not have the opportunity to access.
I pray, that as we empty ourselves, God will fill us up. That as we strip ourselves of any form of glory and praise He will clothe us with grace and Glory in Jesus’ Name.
