Text:Luke 5:3-4.
“3. And He entered into one of the ships, which was Simon’s and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down, and taught the people out of the ship. 4. Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught”.
Many do not know that problems or even challenges are a blessing in disguise.
Many a times when challenges are faced it is for a reason that God may need to talk to you and with the challenge He has your 100% attention.
From the text ,we see that thesame ship that Simon used earlier all through the night without catching a single fish is what Jesus is asking him to use again.
Not until Jesus has already taught and Simon listened!
In the face of storms, trials and tribulations, Jesus is always there.
The Psalmist says, even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,I fear no evil, for thou art with me. Psalm 23:4.
Jesus could as well stood at the sea shore and taught the crowd but He needed a platform,He needed to be in “the situation” to teach you,to hold your hand and to make you learn vital lessons that will help in your next promotion. And for His name to be glorified at the end of it all. Because surely, there’s an end.
See every challenge as a lesson you needed to learn and see God in it.
In verse 4,you saw how Jesus instructed Simon to cast down his net because his time has come to make bountiful harvest,to be blessed abundantly because after every trials there’s testimony.
One thing you also need to note is to do exactly as you are being instructed by Jesus.
Whatever He ask you to do,do it!
Prayer:
Father, help me to know and to learn what You want me to learn and know so that I may know You more because of Your love for me in Jesus name. Amen.
