TOPIC: POWER OF OWNERSHIP
TEXT: ACTS 5:4
Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power?
Peter confronted Ananias with these questions:
1. “Was it not your OWN ?
2. “Was it not in thine OWN POWER ?”
Today, The Holy Ghost surprised me with this TRUTH!
I want you to say to yourself, “I LOVE THE HOLY GHOST ”
Before Ananias sold the land, he owned it. After he sold it, he had the power to do whatever he wanted with it.
The 2 keywords today are
OWNERSHIP AND POWER
You can own a property from a distance country! The proof of ownership is the seal or title deed.
When you said you received Christ life, God gave you His Holy Spirit as a seal that He owns you!
You are in this world, but you are not of this world.
After Ananias sold the land, the money was in his hands.
Hands represents power.
We give and receive with our hands. That’s why Bible didn’t say you shall lay head on the sick.
With our hands, we sign an agreement to hand over goods, property, and even partnership in business.
When God has paid the full price over your entire being and you take a part away, it is like ‘treason’ in the realms of The Spirit.
Yes, God owns you, yield your parts(members) as instruments of righteousness.
The more we lose power to God, the more we gain power of God.
There are Christians who keep taking away parts until they are no more.
When you keep taking parts away from your body, you are bleeding!
You can no longer use your hands, legs, mouth, eyes, or any parts the way you like.
Acts 20:28
“the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.”
You were purchased! Stop taking parts away! Restore back those parts you have taken.
Romans 6:13 says
“Do not present the parts of your body to sin as instruments of wickedness, but present yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and present the parts of your body to Him as instruments of righteousness.”
Those parts are very important to God! Honor God with your body! Take permission if you want to use them. He is the reason for your new existence.
“What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you,which ye have of God, and ???? ye are not your own* ? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body , and in your spirit , which are God’s.”
Am so emotional ???? ???? this morning!
Let us all restore back to Him the fullness of His body in us and in our churches; discerning the Lord’s body and perfecting Holiness in the fear of God!
By this, we will have power with God and with men.
If we don’t stop but we keep taking parts away little by little, He might eventually take all away and preserve our Spirit beyond the river!
Ananias was just a pattern of what it feels like for God to take away!
We were saved to yield to God. We were created to learn for living(not for head knowledge).
We were created so that God through us may reproduce the image of Himself in others.
Anything less than these is called mere religion!
That is THE POWER OF OWNERSHIP!
