TOPIC: ANGELS ON ASSIGNMENT
TEXT: ACTS 10: 1-6
“…about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming in to him, and saying unto him, Cornelius… Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God.
And now send men to Joppa, and call for one Simon, whose surname is Peter:
He lodgeth with one Simon a tanner, whose house is by the sea side : he shall tell thee what thou oughtest to do.”
Today, we shall continue to glean from the story of Cornelius.
Every believer has Angel given by God for them. There are angels sent also by God for the work of ministry.
Hebrew 1:14
Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?
Most of the time, when people of God see a man of God pray for them in their dreams, it may be his angel.
When you obey God in life and in ministry, angels may take your form and appear as you sometimes in visions.
Your Angels enjoy views of new environments. Simon Peter was with another Simon, who was a tanner( works with animal skin)
The house ???? was by ⛵️ side.
While Simon Peter was sleeping, an angel( i believe was an angel of his ministry responsible good news of salvation) appeared to a man called Cornelius in another location.
Angels sometimes goes around in the new environment to see the city view.
That’s why the Bible says some entertain angels unaware. Hebrew 13:12
That’s why if I come into your house, my angels also come with me. If your heart is not right, “my peace will return unto me.”
It means I won’t be able to stay long because they won’t either.
Once I enjoy the house ???? the house will be blessed according to the way they operate.
Sometimes, early this year I went to see a pastor friend. After we spoke and was about 2 hours, I saw 2 of them showed up, and I told the pastor it was time for me to leave because my angels are here.
They probably went around the new environment, admiring the beauty of God’s creation.
Time will not permit to teach more on Angelic ASSIGNMENT.
The Angel commended Cornelius for 2 things “prayer and arms”
Some Christians pray, but they dont give.
How could you raise an altar without any sacrifice on it!
Am not going to be one of those ministers who would be telling people give, give…
‘If I begin to tell you :spend everything you have and don’t ever give to the cause of the gospel, I will be showing you how to be perpetual beggers.
Sometimes, we borrow money to give to those who sincerely need food and are starving in some of our prayer groups.
Some times we really want to give to those in need but when I ask how much we have, they are far below what we need.
Last Sunday alone, we distributed 200 tubers of yam ???? to some sets of widows in a particular state and it wasn’t even enough.
Do we have people who pray but do not give? Yes we have. This keeps me wondering ???? how they will survive in the world system that is perverted.
I have decided to always trust to raise men and women who would help accomplish His vision, even if from far away countries.
There are believers who give in places called churches that God is not aware of.
The definition of church are not the blocks and drum set but installed in a certain location.
1 Timothy 3:15
“which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth”
Some times people sow among thorns on wrong ground, if they have any problem, they bring the to the pillar and ground of truth so that the people of God might pray for them.
Just know that, there is no giving that leaves you the same.
Every gift given should be in view to help the people as a symbol of an honor to God. That’s what we do here.
But, because we do not mention offering here, it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t give. If you ask any admin where to give, they will show you where to give.
So, the angel was acting in line with Simon Peter’s ministerial assignment.
The Angel sought to help Cornelius receive messages about salvation because he is aware that’s what Peter preaches.
He even gave him the name of the house Peter was staying and the name of the person Peter lived with.
The angels God sent to us on this mission know everyone in the admin. They know all the team members and the coordinators in different countries.
They know what they do and they always keep their records updated.
They know everyone in all the prayer Groups. They know those who are faithful because they act in obedience to God’s will.
Angels hearken to the voice of God’s word.
Psalm 103:20
Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.
The Angel in Cornelius house was simply acting in connection to what God was already doing with Peter when he fell into a trance.
Angels don’t act outside of God’s perfect will.
Christians who say negative words to themselves are those to be pitied most. When you say negative words to yourself because of what you are going through, it is harder to be broken than when a legion demons try to stop you.
You become what you say frequently.
” And the word was God”
Ecclesiastics 5:6
Suffer not thy mouth to cause thy flesh to sin; neither say thou before the angel, that it was an error: wherefore should God be angry at thy voice, and destroy the work of thine hands?
Various angels have various personalities.
There are angels who talk less but simply act swifty.
I know how my angel looks like. It is not compulsory you see them, but if God allows you to see, it is for a reason.
Holy angels or God are real. That’s why God says be Holy, for I am Holy.”
I tell people of God that there are things greater than sin. If all you do now as a believer in Christ is sin, you are really missing a lot.
If you know how your angels adore and beautify you because of Jesus, you will love God passionately.
Psalm 49:20
A man who is in honor, yet does not understand, Is like the beasts that perish.
PROPHETIC : Invite a man or a woman of God to your your house to have a lunch with your family, and you will entertain angels in your home.
Something new always call for something new.
