TOPIC: THE ANOINTING
TEXT: 1 JOHN 2:27
” As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit—just as it has taught you, remain in him.”
The anointing is what empowers to do.
The anointing in you is the result of the way of life you have allowed God to work out of your life.
Philippians 2:13 teaches that it is God who works in you* both to will and to do for His good pleasure.
There is another anointing on you! Whenever you allow the anointing on you to work out God’s will, you move forward. The anointing on you then becomes resident as ANOINTING IN YOU.
When you make the anointing work out your own will, the anointing pulls you in the direction you let it go.
That’s why a person can be anointed and use it to do the works of the flesh.
Satan is one example who, after his rebellion, kept using his anointing his own way.
Anointing will always make you do something, or you make the anointing do something.
WHEN YOU LET THE ANOINTING WORK IN YOU, YOU BECOME MORE LIKE CHRIST.
What have you been using the anointing to do?
Saul used his anointing to chase David around.
So, the anointing was pulling him backward in the direction of the grave.
The anointing does not necessarily come upon you through ordination.
You receive the anointing whenever you pray! You receive the anointing whenever you come to God.
There is nobody who can receive the anointing without doing something.
For some, the anointing they supposeed to use as strength, for direction and for progress, they use to fight and quarrel with people!.
Do you know there are Christians who are always proud of the fact that they can destroy, cause problems or disunity around themselves.
That’s the journey they take their own anointing. Wherever they find themselves, there is always an issue with one person or the other.
Use the anointing for the right purpose. David used the anointing to turn vagabonds to mighty men of David.
The proof of wisdom is to build lives and not destroy or cause division.
Anyone can bring destruction if they want to! Even a little child can burn ???? to ashes a big mansion.
Don’t take your anointing on a journey to negativity.
Use the anointing to make peace, build lives, and deliver the oppressed.
Don’t let anyone use what they make of their anointing to drag you into what they allowed to control them.
Whenever evil spirit came upon Saul, he threw arrow at David to kill him, but David behaved wisely.
When people pray, fast, eat communion, worship God, go for impartation services or personal retreat, I do not have a problem with that.
The question had always been, “What did they do with the anointing?”
Or what Glory did they allow the anointing to make out of them?
Let the anointing teach you! Let Him make a new you out of your old manner. Let the anointing make out of you a new behavior.
If not, you will go for prayer meeting but will still be oppressed in your dream. Or you will eat Holy communion and afterward still eat food in your dream!
Holy anointing work out Christlife in us. It removes from within us the sensor that helps Satan to remotely control us.
Remember, each time you’re anointed, it is for a change in your behavior that change the anointing on you to the anointing in you.
