● Joseph commanded his brethren sack to be filled as much as they could carry. We receive provision of Christ as much as we hunger and thirst.
● Joseph filled their sacks with food when his brothers didn’t even know he was Joseph. When we didn’t know God. When we were still in sin, Christ died for us physically and eternally.
● Joseph didn’t use what His brothers did against him to be negative towards them. God is no longer counting our trespasses against us.
● Joseph brethren eventually bowed before him. Unto Christ, every knee shall bow.
● Joseph gave his brothers back their money ???? but still gave them food. Christ is our provider. He doesn’t need our money before He will provide. He didn’t collect money to preach or prophesy. He said freely have we received and Freely we are to give.
● Joseph provided a region at Goshen for his brethren to stay. Christ has gone to prepare a place for us.
● Joseph interpretation of Dream restored the butler(wine server) back to palace, and the baker was beheaded. Christ, while on the cross, pardoned the thief on the right hand and accepted him into paradise while the other was lost.
● The butler’s wine ???? was the significance of blood that Christ shed on the cross for our sin. The baker’s leavened bread ???? was the picture of flesh(self-righteousness)
This teaches us that there is nothing God does in heaven that He doesn’t have an example for us on earth.
