In Matthew 18: 1, They asked Jesus who is the greatest in God’s Kingdom and His answer amazed them.

As human beings, we are more about positions and titles. Sadly, even in the Church.

We get to see Christians bragging about who they are in Church. Heads of units lording it over the members.

Ministers getting angry because when their name was mentioned in special programmes you left out the Right reverend, PhD, His most high etc

People get offended easily and leave the church.

The disciples expected Jesus to say the Sanhedrin, the pharisees, Saduccees, the Scribes and in some case the rich.

In Matthew 18:24, “Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.”

Verse 25 says the disciples were astonished and asked ‘who then can be saved?.

Peter reminded Jesus of the sacrifices they have made but to Jesus it is never about your sacrifices and self rigtheousness..

Jesus picked up a child and said the character required to be the greatest in God’s kingdom is to be a child…

Trusting, Humble, teachable.

Jesus also warned that we should be careful not to let our actions and position send people away from God.

No one in the world is better than the other. Let us learn humility like Jesus. Humble yourself and let God lift you

Trust God and not the number of your years in Ministry.

Be teachable, yield to the leading and correction of the Holy Spirit and fellow believers.

It is well with us all in Jesus Name.

Have a blessed New Week

JESUS IS LORD!
