TEXT: 2 CORINTHIANS 25:9
“Amaziah asked the man of God, “But what about the hundred talents I paid for these Israelite troops?” The man of God replied, “The LORD can give you much more than that.”
Only if you read yesterday’s devotion will you be able to understand where this story is coming from.
Let us assume you were waiting on someone to give you a cart after using, and the person gave you a coin to unlock one, will you believe or keep waiting?
Many believers are waiting for God to accomplish what He already given instructions on how to accomplish them in His word.
If you don’t believe the God in the written form, you won’t believe either if you see Him face-to-face.
The written word of God is infallible, absolutely dependable, and unequivocally sufficient.
Jesus said to the people in His days: “A generation seeking after signs.”
If the word of God is not true when carried out, then God ceases to exist.
Forever o Lord, you word is settled in heaven.
when Jesus broke the 2 fishe and 5 loaves and gave the disciples to distribute, what if they started to hide and keep some inside their pockets?
If they tried to do that, the food will not multiply.
If they did that, it would be because they didn’t know who Jesus was, and what he was is capable of doing.
When God, through His word, asks us to do something, we act as if we don’t trust the outcome or as if God is programming us to fail.
For example, if God says “there is he that scatters yet increaseth”
We pack that scripture aside and do what we are used to. We result to uncles and relatives:
“Hello my uncle/friend/ boss… please help me with…”
The disciples in Acts gave and yet no one lacked amongst them.
It is time to return back to the Bible.
How could you be afraid the Jesus you received will fail you if you obey His commands
Any voice that tells you not to give whenever you are in need is not from God.
The voice of God will say, “Those who sow in tears will reap with joy.”
His name is the word of God. If you follow Him, you will never walk in darkness.
