TOPIC: DON’T SAY ANYTHING
TEXT: Psalm 39:1
“I said, “I will be careful about what I do and will not let my tongue make me sin; I will not say anything while evil people are near .”
There are people that are looking for errors. Even if you say good morning, they will see evil in it.
There is nothing you can do whenever they are around than keep quite.
Whatever you want to see, you will see. Even if not available, you will see it because you have decided you must see it.
Don’t live your life looking to see the wrong in people. Why not see the good part in them.
” Finally , brothers and sisters , whatever is true , whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure , whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable —if anything is excellent
or praiseworthy —think about such things.”
Phil 4:8
Herod and Pilate tried to force Jesus to speak but he said nothing. After all they already decided what they wanted to see and do and that was to crucify him.
“Where do you come from?” he asked Jesus, but Jesus gave him no answer. “ Do you refuse to speak to me?” Pilate said. “Don’t you realize I have power either to free you or to crucify you?” John 19:9,10
“He was oppressed and afflicted, *yet he did not open his mouth* ; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, *so he did not open his mouth.”* Isaiah 53:7
We are to become like the author of our salvation in all things.
PRAYER/CONFESSION : Jesus is my perfect example!
PROPHETIC : When Jesus was near the end part of accomplishing the purpose why he was born, he needed to be more careful what he says. Whenever you are about completing a project or task, say little or nothing when evil people are near. Don’t blow it.
