TOPIC: GOD IS LIGHT (PART FOUR)
TEXT: Psalm 36:9
” In your light shall we see light”
The Bible calls God the Father of lights.
“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the ” Father of lights” James 1:17
If God is the father of lights, that means you and I are the children of light
When Joseph narrated his dreams, it was interpreted as lights bowing down to light.
Joseph, in his unrefined state, saw self and not God.
“Listen,” he said, “I had another dream, and this time the sun and moon and eleven stars were bowing down to me.” Genesis 37:9
This was the beginning of Joseph problem.
” I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago was caught up to the third heaven.
Whether it was in the body or out of the body, I do not know—God knows. And *I know that this man* —whether in the body or apart from the body I do not know, but God knows— was caught up to paradise and heard inexpressible things, things that *no one is permitted to tell.
I will boast about a man like that, but I will not boast about myself .” 2 Cor 12:2-4
Paul was actually that man, but he told that experience carefully and not until after 14 years.
A model was set up for Joseph as examination, and he almost took the bait.
He was not wise enough to know that only God is worthy to be worshiped.
Even Paul, who told a little story of his encounters, was given a thorn in his flesh.
Whenever you see lights, remember God is the father of lights.
A few years back, when I began to see how people worshiped some men of God, I knew there was a problem already.
“That was the true light that gives light to every man coming into the world.”
John 1:9
Remember, He ☝️is the source of your light.
Pride of life is one of the most dangerous traps.
When anyone begins to see that they see above others, one of the signals you will see is that, He or she no longer see anything to correct again about himself or herself, even when he/she sees that those attitudes are offensive.
“How are you fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning?” Isaiah 14:12
It doesn’t matter the information that you receive, whether in the business world or as revelation, let God be the emphasis.
Use such light to turn people to God and not to the worship of self.
Joseph went through refining fire ? until he couldn’t take the worship of man again.
When their message came to him, Joseph wept . His brothers also came to him, bowed down before him, and said, “We are your slaves!”
But Joseph replied, “Do not be afraid. *Am I in the place of God?
As for you, what you intended against me for evil, God intended for good, in order *to accomplish a day like this—to preserve the lives of many people.
Therefore, do not be afraid. I will provide for you and your little ones.” So Joseph reassured his brothers and spoke kindly to them.
This are the lessons and true interpretation of his dreams after he became matured:
1. “Am I in the place of God?” He turned the worship back to God.
2. “to accomplish a day like this—to preserve the lives of many people”
Until you become mature enough to handle differently what God is showing, you can only interpret dreams in prison.
It took years for God to help Joseph interpret his dreams correctly by interpreting the prisoners’ dreams.
Always remember that God is the father of lights.
Prayer/confession: Heavenly Father, I thank you for your word. GIVE ME LIGHT THAT I MAY SEE LIGHT AND NOT SELF
Prophetic: I prophesy unto you that wherever there is agitation and turmoil, they are calming down. You will be victorious even as you have been made a victory.
