TOPIC: GOD IS LIGHT (PART THREE)
TEXT:Corinthians 4:6
“For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ” 2
What does this mean to you and I?
Many Christians may keep on struggling to know who God is unless they decide to study the person of Christ
Psalm 139:6 says
” Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too great for me to understand!”
This is why many struggle to believe God.
When we approach God in prayer, we sometimes doubt God’s promises concerning us
Today, I want you to know that you can not know God by your efforts. Therefore, the only way we see God as he is in our heart is in the face of Jesus Christ.
You may never know how kind God is until you study the scriptures about Christ
The gospel reveals how Jesus Christ related with humanity in such a compassionate way.
Just look at Christ. Look His compassion at the tomb of Lazarus. Look how he learned at his feet were hungry. Look how he healed, how he wept because of Lazarus predicament.
Consider his death for us
In all of these, he represented The Father well.
Jesus himself said:
” He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? John 14:9
Jesus is the image of the invisible God to us and it is in the face of Jesus Christ, the image of God becomes real in us.
The Bible, according to Paul refer to our faith as :FAITH OF THE SON OF THE LIVING GOD.”
He is the author and the Finisher of our faith.
Whenever we look at him, our faces become brighten
Anytime you experience doubt, fear and unbelief, just remember Christ is the full representation of God The Father.
“.. God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them.”
2 cor 5:19
Picture in your mind who Christ was when he was here on earth. Picture in your mind how he was Compassionate to those who come unto him in sincerity. Then, picture in your mind how he never rejected anyone, and your faith will skyrocket.
Looking unto Jesus the author and the Finisher of our faith.
He is the one who makes our faith work.
It is called the faith of the son of the loving God.
That faith work through love.
” I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”
Galatians 2:20
We see the light of who God is in the face of Christ.
” Not that anyone has seen the Father, except He who is from God; He has seen the Father.” John 6:46
Let’s give God a big hand ? for showing Himself through the person of Christ.
This is the light that lights everyone who comes into this world.
” Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.”Heb 7:25
Prayer/confession: Heavenly Father, I thank you for your word and Jesus Christ who reveals your true nature. Now, I can come boldly to you as my Father, knowing all will be well.
Prophetic: I prophesy unto you that change is coming and speedy one. The speed of light is the fastest, so gain divine speed in Jesus’ name and be the master of what had mastered you.
