TOPIC: HOW TO KNOW AND RESPOND WHEN THE ANWER TO YOUR PRAYERS MANIFEST
TEXT: 1 Kings 18:44-46
The *seventh time,* the servant said, “I see a *small cloud* , the *size of a human fist,* coming from the sea.” Elijah told the servant, “Go to Ahab and tell him to get his chariot ready and go home now.
Yesterday, we learned that our prayers are answered only in the will of God. And also that, it is the Holy Spirit who gives assurance in our hearts.
After you have the assurance, we need to know how to recognize the physical manifestation.
Here, Elijah was not the one checking the cloud but his servant.
In this story, Elijah also bent his head in such a position that wouldn’t allow him to see the sky.
The lesson here is simply that, even though the 5 senses are useful, they are sometimes enemy of faith.
The story of Peter, when he began to sink after walking on wayer?♂️ teaches us to know that doubt can come from the gateway of senses.
When Jesus broke the bread& the fish, he gave it to his disciples to help him distribute, and the meal kept multiplying.
The problem with many of those prayers without physical manifestation is that you are looking at too many things
The only way you can see is to not see.
What do I mean by that?
” neither consider* the things of old. Behold, *I will do a new thing;” Isaiah 43:18
The new thing actually means FIRST OF ITS KIND
It went further by saying,
“Now , *it shall spring forth;** shall ye not know it?”
The word of God is like the rain that causes grass to grow in a dry land.
Let me ask you, do grass grow instantly when it rains?
It probably does after few days.
The Prophet kept sending the servant to the same location.
So many christians jump from one thing or place to another. No patience at all.
Even though God specifically told the prophet it was time for Him to send rain, the prophet didn’t leave his position until the 7th time.
7 signifies rest. Whenever you see a Christian under anxiety after praying, just know the person didn’t pray the will of God.
The result of prayer is calmness, peace and assurance.
The servant then ran ?♂️ back to the prophet and announced that he saw a little cloud ☁️ like the hand of man.
Jesus use just 5 loaves ? and 2 fishes ?
God always hide big inside the small.
Imagine the rain that ended the famine was as small as the hand of man.
The word “hand of man” means be prepared to work no matter how little.
Many have rejected the manifestation of their answer in the little they rejected.
Sometimes, not all opportunities are for money. The reason for some assignments is simply to meet someone who would lead you to your prepared place.
A generation that is ALWAYS looking everywhere for paper called money may end up missing the manifestation of their prayers.
David & Joseph were given assignment to deliver food. from that task, they got to the palace.
