” By this you know the Spirit of God :???? Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit that does not confess ]that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God.”
Pay attention to the word ” every spirit”
The word ” every ” means that God is not the only being that is Spirit. Angels are spirits. Human beings comprise the body, soul, and spirit.
That is why God is called the father of spirits.
Hebrew 12:9
“Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us, and we respected them for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of spirits and live!”
Luke 1;46, 47
“My soul magnifies the Lord,
And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior.
Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ came in the flesh is of God
What does that mean?
I want you to know that, behind every belief system, there is a spirit.
2 Corinthians 4:13
And since mwe have the same spirit of faith , according to what is written, “ I believed and therefore I spoke,” we also believe and therefore speak,”
Any belief system that deny the birth, crucifixion, burial and ressurection of Jesus Christ is not of God.
There are Christians who consult priests supposing they are also church of Christ because they hang cross at the place.
Remember, discernment is knowing the difference between THE TRUTH and ALMOST THE TRUE.
If the difference is clear, there will be no need for us to discern.
Anyone who doesn’t believe in the new birth( Except a man be born again) is operating by another spirit apart from The Spirit of Christ, even if you get results true them.
There are clergy that says they have been born again from the womb.
Such an individual is denying that Christ came in the flesh.
May the Lord give you understanding.
