GROWTH IS COMMITMENT by Olayinka Orogun
1 Corinthians 13:11
When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child:
but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
This scripture clearly define that man can grow.
Everything God created has the potential to grow. So Man can grow, It doesn’t matter how he start.
You can start as a weak or hopeless person but there is possibility for growth.
You don’t flog a 2 month baby for not walking, but when it’s getting to 2,3,4 years still not walking.
Then something is wrong.
There is a pattern for growth.
That you are ageing doesn’t mean you are growing.
Most times we pride ourselves on numbers of scriptures we know, we pride ourselves on how long we have been going to church and how many times we have seen God intervention as proof we are growing.
Longevity in church doesn’t equal growth.
Growth is commitment.
Its only biological growth that Is automatic, every other kind of growth is deliberate and intentional.
The proof that you are growing is that what makes you fall yesterday no longer make you fall today.
Paul said I put away childlish things.
At every level there is always room for growth.
You say you are anointed, to what degree.
You say you are intelligent, to what degree,
you say you are mature, to what degree.
Challenge yourself daily to strive for mastery.
Lord I make a commitment for personal growth.
