TOPIC: **GOD IS LIGHT (PART TWO)*

TEXT: *Proverbs 4:18*
“But *the path of the righteous* is as the *shining light,* that shineth *more and more* unto the perfect day.”
Let us focus on ” *path** ” and ” *more* ”
There is what is called the path of the just.
The word “path” is referred here as light.
And when you consider one of the characteristics of light, you will realize that it travels on *A STRAIGHT LINE*
Then, if we consider the word ” *more* ” you will realize that light shines from the beginning to the end, it does not matter how many steps you take.
Even though light shines through from beginning to the end, People can decide if they want to continue or discontinue their walk in light
This takes place whenever there comes the opportunity to do more.
E.g, when ready to try more, speak more, travel more, read more, sing more, learn more, etc
*Why do I say this?*
Take, for example, if i took you on a lift near your house at night.
Once you alight out of my car, courtesy demand that I keep my car headlamp on if the street is dark.
But, immediately, you branch to the next street, the light discontinue
This will not be because I switched off the light. But because you branched.
Light travels in a straight line. With God, no shadow of *turning* .
We are the one that needs to *re-turn* back to God. Light doesn’t bend.
Shadow is a deficiency of light.
God told Abraham after he backslided and raised for himself, Ishmael.
Genesis 17:1
“When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to him and said, “I am God Almighty. *Walk before* Me and be blameless.”
” *Light shines in the darkness for the godly.* They are *generous* , *compassionate* , and *righteous* .” Psalm 112:4
*Prayer/confession*: Heavenly Father, in any area I have deviated from your plan while I am trying to do more, I acknowledge and return and am restored.
*Prophetic*: I prophesy that whatever had been stolen from you is restored seven fold because darkness can not comprehend your light. Amen
