TOPIC: FAITH IN ACTION
TEXT: MARK 11:13-23
“And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves… Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it.
And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursed is withered away. And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. For… whosoever shall say unto this mountain, … but shall believe… he shall have whatsoever he saith.”
JESUS SPOKE TO THE FIG TREE ????
■ Faith focuses
Jesus didn’t just speak to
any tree but a particular
tree. Faith is always
specific on something.
■ Faith speaks.
The Bible says, his.
disciples heard him. Faith
that is not heard is no.
faith. If you are afraid of
declaring it loud, it is no
faith. Faith is not silent.
■Faith believes. Jesus says HAVE FAITH IN GOD. Jesus didn’t say have faith in Angel or doctors or money.
Anything we believe more than God is what we exalt above God. God also believes in Himself.
■Faith believes what it says! Ask some Christians if they believe what they just profess. Faith doesn’t doubt what it says. What a person says is faith to the one who says it.
■Faith receives. ” And he shall have whatsoever he says.” Faith receives! Faith receives what it says.
Every child of God has the God-kind of faith that speaks. Be careful what you say often because you will have what you say.
What you say here means WHAT YOU KEEP SAYING. WORDS DONT DIE.
“Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. ”
Do not just speak anything. Let what you say be that which come out of your mouth because God had said so.
