TOPIC: WHICH WAY?
TEXT: ISAIAH 30:20, 21
Although the Lord gives you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, your teachers will be hidden no more; with your own eyes you will see them.
Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.”
Obedience to divine instruction is a direction or pathway we choose to go through that can take us further into the goodness of God.
Disobedience is a pathway that can take us farther away from the goodness of God.
When God says, “Do this business, or study this course or live in this city e.t.c.” we choose what seem good in our sights.
Sometimes, we think that because the choice was made a long time ago, that means the consequences are no longer playing underground.
If we acknowledge we made wrong choices and allow God to order our steps out of the wilderness, which is the consequence of these choices, God will begin to send good people to cross our pathway.
But if we continue to disobey while God is ordering our steps, we will continue to wander around in the wilderness of our disobedience.
Most of the time, children of God act as if what we need is more prayers or good works. But what we simply need is mercy and obedience.
The best day of your life is not the day someone bought you a car or gave you money; the best day should be when God corrected you and showed you a pathway out of the wilderness of disobedience.
It is time for you to go past the feelings and act yourself in the right way.
We can’t continue to sing the Lord’s song in a strange land.
Sometimes, you see people run from one place to another. That’s not the change you need. God’s presence is the ground and the pillar of truth. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of truth.
Peter said to Jesus, where shall we go. You have the word of eternal life.
Job 36:11
” If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity and their years in pleasures.”
Whenever God sees that the heart is made up to obey, He supplies grace and rewards us with people.
Am so sure God is rerouting you out of that wilderness into your promised land even as you receive this word.
Remember where you have fallen!
Acknowledge you missed the mark and ask The Lord for another chance.
It may not be the prototype of the first, but it will even be better if you are sincere.
