REMEMBER
Joshua 4:6-7
“In the future, when your children ask, ‘What do these stones mean to you?’ you are to tell them, ‘The waters of the Jordan were cut off before the ark of the covenant of the LORD. When it crossed the Jordan, the waters were cut off.’ Therefore, these stones will be a memorial to the Israelites forever.”
I have heard preachers preach how children of Isreal crossed the red sea, but only a few preached about how they crossed river Jordan.
What made the testimony at River Jordan special was because it was to overflow when the children of Israel crossed.
The Lord told them to pick 12 stones representing 12 tribes in Israel. The stones were to be picked from the middle of the river.
This suggests to me how God wants us to treat Him while He is carrying us through challenging moments.
The difference between Jordan and Red Sea was that Sis Mariam and the rest only sang after they got out of the Red Sea.
At river Jordan, their testimony commenced right where they stood in the river.
In these momentous times, when the entire world is going through crises, in each month of the 12 months, do you see any of the Lord’s goodness.
Write ✍️ on a tiny paper at least one thing you know He had done for you each month. Put the tiny paper inside a transparent bottle. Or use sticky paper on your wall, representing what The Lord has been doing in your life.
By the end of the year, bring them out and read them. Truly, the Lord is good. We easily forget His benefits. We all have been guilty of this.
We allow the challenges we are passing through becloud of us from seeing what The Lord had done in the midst of those challenges.
If you are still standing in the river, which would have swept your feet off ground, bend down and pick up a stone of testimony of The Lord’s goodness.
Remember, if there is life, there is hope. Do not forget all His benefits. The devil meant it more than you have witnessed, but God prevented Him.
