LESSONS IN LEVITICUS
Deuteronomy 14:6
“You may eat any animal that has a divided hoof and that chews the cud.”
Deuteronomy 14:9, 10
“Of all the creatures living in the water, you may eat any that has fins and scales.
But anything that does not have fins and scales you may not eat; for you, it is unclean.”
These are the categories of animals God called clean animals. They are the kinds He permitted them to eat.
The lessons God wants us to learn from LEVITICUS in our days are what’s important.
These animals must have 2 characteristics in one:
■ Splitted hooves
Out walk with God must be a separated life. We can not walk with God while equally yoked with sinners.
■ Chews cud
God doesn’t just want us to read His word. He wants us to meditate on His word. Chewing cud is a way of re-chewing the food already swallowed.
■ Fins
God wants us to know that we are only propelled forward by the power of the Holy Spirit.
■ Scale
God wants us to know that we do not have our own righteousness, but we are clothed in His righteousness.
Most of the things we struggle to do on our own, if we sincerely ask The Lord to help us, He will surely help us and we shall succeed most in the same area we have previously failed woefully.
