TEXT: JOHN 14:1-3
“Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am”
I do not know why God brought this topic again about heaven.
Heaven is above. Jesus ascended to heaven in bodily form.
Believers will one day be in heaven. When they are absent from the body, they will be at home with the Lord. 2 Corinthians 5:8
It is referred to as NEW JERUSALEM, NEW HEAVEN & NEW EARTH. Rev 21& 22
It means, in the future, the heaven where God resides will be combined with the new heaven, the new earth, and the new JERUSALEM after:
1. Rapture
2. Seven-year tribulation
3. The battle of.
Armageddon
4. 1000 years millennium
reign
5. The great white throne
judgement
Revelation 21:1-2
The present earth and heaven(sky and solar system) will pass away.
2 Peter 3: 7-13
Because God will dwell in New heaven, His Glory will shine such that there will be no night.
Our lives extend beyond the grave. Who we are on earth is who we will be in heaven. We don’t change to someone else.
Everything we therefore have – our time, talents, calling, gifts, and opportunities – are loans from God to us for us to use to advance His kingdom while on earth.
We can all see that nothing in the world remains the same again.
Everything, including humans, is changing around us so fast.
All of those events(Rapture, The Great Tribulation, the battle of Armageddon, the 1000 years millennium reign and white throne Judgment) will unfold one after the other.
I just want to encourage you as fellow soldiers of Christ that we will live forever with God.
