TOPIC: ARE YOU GUILTY OF THIS?
TEXT: Leviticus 23:22
“When you harvest the crops of your land, do not harvest the grain along the edges of your fields, and do not pick up what the harvesters drop. Leave it for the poor and the foreigners living among you. I am the LORD your God.”
God’s kingdom on earth has a constitution by which she operates.
God gave the law to His own(children of Isreal)
He said, farmers should leave the edges of their fields unharvested, should not pick up that which was dropped (gleanings), and should not harvest any overlooked produce that had been forgotten when they harvested the majority of a field.
How is this message applicable to us today?
Are there shoes ????, bags ????, ???? or food ???? in your house you wouldn’t make use of or eat in the next 3 months?
Why not pass on to someone who is desperately in need of it.
You don’t have to wait for something to get spoiled before passing it over to those in need of it.
Everyone made in the image of God is loved by God.
Be conscious of your environment
Jesus emphatically said: “The poor you will always have around you ”
The word is ” AROUND YOU”
Do you look around you at all when you are in church? Do you look around you when you walk on the street or in the bus or everything is always about you?
Believers are guilty of so many things ignorantly, and they go a long way to affect how you want other respond to you.
Galatians 6:10
“As we have therefore opportunity, *let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are* of the household of faith.”
