SLAVES OF GOD
ROMANS 6:22
But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life.
It is time to stop talking about what we are not and start talking about who we are.
Adam and Eve sold humanity, and his territory to Satan by convincing them to disobey what God told them.
Adam didn’t get anything good from that transaction.
ISAIAH 52:3
For this is what the LORD says: “You were sold for nothing, and without money you will be redeemed.”
Infact, satan told Jesus:
Luke 4:6
“And the devil said unto him, To thee will I give all this authority, and the glory of them: for it hath been delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.”
Jesus rejected that offered but paid a more excellent sacrifice.
ROMANS 6:20
You were bought with a price [you were actually purchased with the precious blood of Jesus and made His own]. So then, honor and glorify God with your body.
You will notice that the scripture use “BODY” in the context
ROMANS 6:19
“I am speaking in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh. Just as you used to offer the parts of your body in slavery to impurity and to escalating wickedness , so now offer them in slavery to righteousness leading to holiness.”
What Apostle Paul is telling us is,
NO ONE WHO BECAME PERFECT THE FIRST TIME THEY PRACTICE AN ACT OF SIN. No one loved smoking the first time they tried it just like any other sinful habits.
So, if you are going to live the life Christ offered you in your body, you must yield your parts of bodies.
The first time will appear difficult when you say NO TO SIN. If you take your stand and, the next time will become easier.
Save up memory of ” YES TO GOD ” to build up your faith and confidence in the finished work of Christ.
HEBREW 10:35,36
“Therefore do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward . For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God you may receive what is promised.”
