TOPIC: IN CHRIST ALONE
TEXT: 2 CORINTHIANS 5:17
“Therefore if any man be in Christ,he is a new creation : old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
The only condition is “IF”
If you are IN CHRIST, you are a NEW CREATION
What does it mean to be in Christ?
It means that you are born of God’s gene.
The Gene is what reveals who is the true father of a child.
The same is applicable with God. He gave birth to you of His own will.
“Children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.” John 1:13
New creation is not what was born in you by your decision.
Even the grace to say yes to God was given to you by God.
That’s why God’s grace quicken us so that we may desire God.
The true grace of God works from within us.
That is because the grace of God that brought you salvation is at work within you.
1 Peter 1:23
“For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.”
Ephesians 2:8-10
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith —and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.
When the grace of God that saves to the uttermost.
You can’t discontinue your relationship with Christ if you have truly been found in Him.
Philippians 3:9
” and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith;”
So, you are the genetic product of God’s grace.
Everyone who is born again is a product of God’s choice, and the power to accept and say yes to God came bu the grace of God. . .
” Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes.” Ephesians 1:4
God had already made His choice concerning you ever before were formed in your mother’s womb.
You are the product of God’s choice.
That’s why there is no one who is truly born of God that can continue willfully in sin.
You will be plucked out of His hands ✋️ because the grace that saved you also give you the ability to work out your salvation with fear and trembling.
The Grace of God within you will not make you take God for granted or take Him as your mate.
Even as that grace abound, it will cause you to abound in every good works and that grace will lead you home IN CHRIST ALONE!
