THE PRESENCE OF THE LORD Genesis 4:16

“And Cain went out from the presence of the LORD and dwelled in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden.”

What is called PRESENCE OF THE LORD?

He made all things, and He is everywhere.

Before Cain went out of the presence of The Lord, there was no precise location mentioned. The only thing recorded was his conversation between himself and God.

God was asking him questions. God was holding him accountable. God was trying to show him what he didn’t do right.

Though he killed his brother, The Lord made Himself available for Cain to talk with Him.

The Lord wanted him to be sober and made himself accountable so that he could be free.

Instead, Cain replied to God in an unruly way.

Finally, God made him to be independent. There was nothing or anyone to caution ⚠️ him again. Even God restricted human beings from him.

There are many Christians who are now free. They live anyhow. No word of God to caution them. No spiritual father figure to counsel them.

The presence of God is a state where you are no longer free to live anyhow you like. The presence of God is where your joy is as a result of God and everything that concerns Him.

2 Corinthians 5:15

“and he died for all, that those who live might no longer live for themselves but for him who for their sake died and was raised .”

Have you gone out of The presence of The Lord? Return!

Are you depressed?

In the presence presence of The Lord is fullness of Joy.

If the father of the prodigal son was adored and celebrated after he returned, we also will be celebrated God the Father if we return.
