TEXT: HEBREW 12:16, 17
“that there be no sexually immoral or godless person like Esau, who sold his own birthright for a single meal… when he wanted to inherit the blessing …he found no place for repentance, though he sought for it with tears.
The message in today’s devotion is straightforward:
God Himself created sex! Everything that God created is subject to control only under God.
When God created sex, He invoked a dimension of power to it.
Just like if you buy any pharmaceutical tablets, you will see written on it how it should be used and the effect if used wrongly.
God put so much power on sex that even the wicked people know how to use to their advantage and to the detriment of the gullible ones.
You must know that so much had been gained and so much lost through sex.
Sex is not just a channel through which offsprings come into this world; it is a channel through which favor, blessings, and greatness attained and also a channel through which they can drain off.
You may not find this written in black and white. You can know when you see a scripture like:
Drink water from your own cistern, running water from your own well.
Proverbs 5:15
God will not remove sex because of the damage that happens to those who abuse it. God still allows sex because of the good He attached to it.
Don’t tell me nothing is damaged when a person continues to engage in sexual immorality.
The Bible calls it a SIN AGAINST ONE’S BODY.
God forgive whenever a child of God truly repent.
But, know that, while the blessings in heavenly places remain intact, It is like the physical presence of the person is now giving a false claim of himself or herself!
There are believers crying to God today of not doing this or that. Ask them about their sexual purity, and you will see the delay is not always from God.
Sexual impurity is like a person dualizing himself and standing against himself or herself in the law court . It is a sin against one’s body.
Satan rarely stands as the accuser here. He only claps ???? because someone helped him do his job.
In 1 Cor 6:18, Paul writes, “Every sin, whatever a person commits, is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body.”
He who commits adultery lacks sense; he who does it destroys himself
proverbs 6:32
I have seen people who stopped this sin and truly repented, and afterward, their finances began to boom.
Solomon warned us of his own mistakes that money could grow on wings and fly away. Proverbs 23:5
“Take the garment of one who puts up security for a stranger; hold it in pledge if it is done for an outsider.
Food gained by fraud tastes sweet, but one ends up with a mouth full of gravel.”
Proverbs 20:16, 17
But today, if you hear His voice, harden not your heart.
God will restore you and everything you have lost.
Don’t fight this sin alone. Tell someone who is more mature to pray with you.
