David was already anointed a king, but he had no palace yet. He stayed calm at the cave of adullam until the throne was open up unto Him by God.
There are Christians who have never completed a cycle in the realms of God’s obedience.
Whenever what God promised is about to be fulfilled, they just jump from one place or thing to another, they compromise, they become impatient
Pressure to give up on God is one of the greatest tools the devil uses whenever he sees something great is on the way.
David stayed calm and gentle, and he later explained how in psalm 18:35, ” Thy gentleness has made me great.”
If a person always gives up at the edge of breakthroughs, it is an attack of the enemy.
Jude 1:13 says, ” They are like wandering stars ???? ”
Once it is almost their time, the pressure becomes high, and just like Saul offered, the sacrifice when the 7th day Samuel told him to wait was not over, they compromise.
” My son, fear the LORD and the king; Do not associate with those given to change”
Proverbs 24:21
Instead of them waiting for their change, they change.
Even though the appointed time is come, you must learn to wait for your change.
Job 14:14 says,
” all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come.”
Whenever a person changes before the change arrives, he will need to plead with mercy for God to redeem the time or wait for another time and chance.
” Those who worship worthless idols forfeit the mercy that could be theirs.”
Jonah 2:8
I therefore encourage you according to Hebrew 6:12
“Instead, you will follow the example of those who are going to inherit God’s promises because of their faith and endurance.”
God is going to surprise you pleasantly this week!
