“If anyone serves Me, he must follow Me; and where I am, My servant will be as well. If anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him.”
Contrary to popular belief, service is actually an act of following.
So many want to work for God, and God is saying “WALK WITH ME”
Today, when God says we should learn this, I knew there is something much deeper.
WALK with God is what reveals your WORK for God.
to follow does not only mean walking behind someone.
But rather, it means taking after someone.
If a food restaurant is franchised, the one who must run any branch must use the exact recipe to make their food.
In fact, the existing one will train the new staff.
The outward color must be the exact brand.
I have heard Christians say, “My heart is what matters” until I found the scripture:
“But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ” Romans 13:14
It means you can not have a Mr. Big or Macdonald restaurant that is painted your own way.
Don’t tell me: “I just love this color.”
“Looking unto Jesus the author and the Finisher of our faith.”
Have you forgotten the intention of God was not just have only begotten son in the person of Christ but to bring many sons and daughters unto Glory where we are not just called after him but look as him.
“For this reason he had to be made like them, fully human in every way,” Hebrew 2:17
God made Christ like us, that we might be made like him.
“Follow Me and I will make you…”
Serve God with your new identity in Christ, both inwardly and outwardly.
PRAYER/CONFESSION :
Father I thank you because I am anointed to serve you because I hail from. Help me walk like who you have made me.
