“This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask— we know that we have what we asked of him.”
Prayer is a communication with someone you know(or believe in)
With this explanation, we now know why some may be prayerless.
It is either we know and we believe Him or we don’t know Him and doubt Him.
Prayer doesn’t necessarily make you have faith in God. It is faith in God that makes you pray!

You will see that the word ” WE KNOW ” is repeated in these verses.
KNOWING is faith, and KNOWING produces confidence.
So many believers use prayer to have faith. No! Faith is supposed to help you pray.
We don’t pray and then hope something will happen. We pray because we know something has happened.
Prayer is the expression of our faith in God.
