Waiting is not usually fun. It does not matter what you are waiting fir, Results, Bank Alert, relationships, pregnancy, Jobs, and healing. As humans, we do not like to wait.
So we will look at what to do while you wait on God concerning relationships and marriage
1. Pray.
“Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up.” Luke 18:1 NIV
Prayer makes grace available. Grace to wait, which builds humility and patience.
James 1: Says let Patience do it’s perfect work.
Do not stop praying. Do not stop telling God how you feel, angry, sad, depressed.. He is a burden bearer.
“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done” Phil 4:6 NLT
2. Fast.
Fasting is not to bribe or arm wrestle God into giving us what we want.
Fasting helps our spirits become sensitive to hear God especially while we wait.
You can choose to fast once a week or twice a month. Sometimes the Spirit of God might inspire you to fast a day.
“One day as these men were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Dedicate Barnabas and Saul for the special work to which I have called them.” Acts 13:2 NLT
3. Improve yourself
Mistake some people make is when they wait, they put their lives on hold.
You need to keep living and believing and growing.
Learn new trades, start businesses. Be busy volunteering in NGOs, Churches and communities.
Go back to school if need be. Attend bible school, make up trainings etc. These will be great assets when your answer arrives.
The Proverbs 31 woman must have had many things built in her that she started to manifest in marriage.
Read books on marriage, on patience, Building your Spirit and fruits of the Spirit.
4. Speak and think positive
.. As a man or women thinks, so he or she becomes.
Be deliberate about your confessions and conversations.
Pray for grace to speak and declare wisdom and positive.
The Bible tells us we have power in our mouth.
Colossians 3:8; “But now you must put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and obscene talk from your mouth.”
Read the whole of James chapter 3. It shows that our words navigates our life.
5. Faith-
Faith pleases God. Faith shows you believe God is able to bless you with what you pray for. Faith does not mean you don’t have alternatives, or that there is no fear or worry, but in the midst of all these you chose to believe God.
“If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes.” Mark 9:23
“And Abraham’s faith did not weaken, even though, at about 100 years of age, he figured his body was as good as dead—and so was Sarah’s womb.” Read Romans 4:17-22.
