TOPIC: HAVING DONE ALL STAND
TEXT: Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Ephesians 6:13
The qualification for standing is to have done all.
The definition for all is ALL
. Human being is tripartite creature ( body, soul and spirit)
About 24 years ago, I went for the meeting of Presidents of Redeemed Christian Fellowship. While I was on the corridor, at their dormitory, I noticed a table standing outside on 3 legs.
When I paid close attention, I saw that, it was initially built with 4 legs.
Right there, I learned the difference between stand and withstanding .
I realized if anyone had attempted leaning on that table, it would have fallen.
Pressure comes to reveal stability.
Maybe you have heard people say, “I did this or that because…”
On the contrary, you did that because the capacity to do that was in you. The pressure just help you know what you were capable of doing.
“… that you may be able to ?withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.” Ephesians 6:13
You must pay close attention to all these 3(body, soul and spirit)
If you ignore one, you will be like a three-legged table, standing on only 2 legs
