*BALM OF GILEAD/ THE DEVOTION*
JEREMIAH 8:22
*”Is there no balm in Gilead?* *Is there no physician there?* *Why then is there no healing for the wound of my people?*
■ IS THERE NO BALM?
■ IS THERE NO.
PHYSICIAN?
1 Peter 2:24
*Who Himself* bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.
■ The emphasis was, *”HIMSELF BORE OUR SIN”*
*He did that himself, so that there was doubt about the outcome.* HE SHED THE BLOOD HIMSELF.
*THE BIG QUESTION IS:*
■ Why then is there no healing for the wound of my people?
*WHAT IS HEALING?*
Healing is restoration unto the normal.
■ *LAND,* *FAMILY,* *FINANCE,* *A NATION,* *MARRIAGE,* *BUSINESS,* etc, can be sick.
*WHY THERE IS NO HEALING*
You must have read from the history of the church ⛪️ how even some healing evangelists died of sickness.
*WHY?* God did not design you for yourself. You are not all-in-one.
Whenever you are sick in your body, marriage, business, finance, etc, reach out to someone or through a healing meeting.
*It is called GIFT OF HEALING(plural)*
Even Elisha, who inherited double of Elijah’s anointing, died of sickness.
2 kings 13:14
*”Now when Elisha had fallen sick with the illness of which he was to die.”*
Most people keep seeking healing in high places. God kept healing in low places.
That’s why Namaan was angry because he expected Elisha to come down and touch him.
But he was told by the prophet to go down in river Jordan and be healed of his leprosy.
The woman told Jesus that dogs could also go down under the table.
The angel went down into the pool, and the one who went down first got healed.
Some people even think their healing is in big meetings. God doesn’t need big meetings to heal you of any sickness.
*2 CHRONICLES 7:14*
“If my people, who are called by my name, will
*humble themselves* and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin *and will heal their land.*
Humility is a vital ingredient in your healing. In fact, that is like the doorway.
