*JUDGES 6: 12, 13*
12. When the angel of the Lord appeared to Gideon, he said, *“The Lord is with you, mighty warrior.”*
13. “Pardon me, my lord,” Gideon replied, *“but if the LORD is with us, why has all this happened to us?* Where are all his wonders that our ancestors told us about when they said, *‘Did not the LORD bring us up out of Egypt?’* But now the LORD has abandoned us and given us into the hand of Midian.”
Gideon was just sincere. He had within him so many unanswered questions.
He couldn’t relate all the calamities that had befallen him and his people with the accolade the angel gave him.
Isaiah 62:2
*”You shall be called by a new name, which the mouth of the LORD will name.”*
God doesn’t use our experiences in life to relate with us.
He calls things that be not as though they were. Even if you don’t look like what He calls you, if you respond, you will become whom He called you.
Use the testimonies of God that He did in the past to declare and insist that He does not change.
That is where your faith should stand.
I hope this blesses you.
