DISCIPLESHIP
John 6:11
“And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would.”
A disciple is a person who knows Jesus intimately. He or she has learned Christ.
He is a person who reflects whatever Christ represents.
He is someone who passes to others what Christ life and lifestyle were passed to him.
Mathew 10:25
“It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord.”
Learning Christ is important in our Christian living. There are Christians who read about every character in the Bible except Christ.
Christ is supposed to be the center of the message. Christ was everywhere in the old covenant in His reincarnate form.
Mathew 11:29
“learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart.”
What we are to learn of Christ is His meekness and lowliness.
In our denomination today, we have learned everything (how to operate in power, raise prayer altars, increase our church growth, honor men of God, receive impartation, destroy enemies, sow seed, etc) but only few have learned Christ.
When you see leaders fight publicly, when you see followers curse one another, when you see a leader thinking he or she is better than everyone, then start to wonder what this scripture means:
EPHESIANS 4:20 says
“But that isn’t what you learned about Christ.”
If we truly learned Christ, we will strive to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
Ephesians 4:3
“Make every effort to keep the oneness of the Spirit in the bond of peace.”
Jesus prayed for the church that they may be one. Don’t pass down to people what Christ did not pass down to the church.
John 13:35
*”If you love each other, everyone will know that you are my disciples.”
It seems the church is growing more members and fewer disciples.
Let us inculcate more reading about Jesus from the gospel. Let us learn His way and His humility. I JUST LOVE ❤️ THE MAN JESUS.
I know you love Jesus also. Please learn Him and ask Him to give you the grace to reflect Him properly. That’s the light that He calls us.
Am trying every day to reflect Him in the way I talk, interact, preach, think, love, help…
Sometimes, I fall short, and I cry 😭 to Him for more grace.
In the end, I will be able to say I am what I am by the grace of God.
Remember, a disciple is someone who disciples others while himself is being discipled.
Every day, we are growing to become like Him in all things. And when He comes, He won’t find it hard to recognize us.
The true church of Jesus Christ must grow in quantity as well as in the quality. To God be ALL THE GLORY propheticvoicenetwork.com
