OUR HIGH PRIEST
(Hebrew 13: 11-13)
The high priest carries the blood of animals into the Most Holy Place as a sin offering, but the bodies are burned outside the camp.
And so Jesus also suffered outside the city gate to make the people holy through his own blood.
Let us, then, go to him outside the camp, bearing the disgrace he bore.
Jesus was the only high priest who used himself as offering to God and as sacrifice for sin. Other high priests only offered the blood of animals and burned the bodies of those animals outside the camp.
The blood of those animals covered for sins but couldn’t remove them.
Because the blood of Christ was offered in the Most Holy place and His body taken outside of the camp, the Bible says we should go outside the camp and identify with the body of Christ.
We can’t receive forgiveness through His blood and reject His body. We are members of His bone and of His flesh.

“For unto you it is given for Christ, not only to believe in him, but also to suffer for him.”
