BESIDE THE STILL WATER ???? PS 23(PART 11)

” The LORD hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee… and accept your burnt sacrifice; Selah.”

In the days we live, services are many, while sacrifices are scarce.

The request for sacrifice is not what is common. Therefore, He will lead you away from the common place to still and quite place.

Do you know what that means? He leads you to the place where nobody will say “THANK YOU” after you have offered it.

It must be burnt ???? for GOD(The Spirit) to accept it. God alone must smell it. It is not a reasonable service if you are still bragging about the sacrifice. Fat(flesh) must not be present for it is burnt sacrifice.

“HE LEADS ME BESIDE THE STILL…”

It would be so still that you won’t hear anyone say “THANK YOU” all the time.

The only “THANK YOU” you may hear is from The Lord, which is always “THE STILL SMALL VOICE.”

Abraham was told by The Lord to go offer sacrifice on a particular mountain where God was waiting for Him.

It is funny when I see people turn to their own desired mountain ⛰️ and then go about to render services INSTEAD OF SACRIFICE.

If Sarah knew about the sacrifice that Abraham was going to make, she would call him mad.

Services make you appear smart to you while sacrifice makes you appear like a fool to yourself.

Your sacrifice must be a living one, Holy and acceptable. That’s the only reasonable service God approves of in Roman 12:1

Isaac was alive and journeyed with Abraham. He was the living sacrifice.

Near the still water, sacrifice must be good, Holy, and acceptable.

Stay blessed
