EXPOSITION ON PSALM 23 (PART 7)

“He makes me lie down in green pasture

This scripture is not talking about eating green pasture but about lying down in green pasture.

Even though green pasture is for grazing, it appears there much in that location to feed on, and at the same time, there is much the sheep already fed on.

The shepherd wants them to digest the ones they have already eaten because there is much more they have to eat where they are.

Whenever God allows a believer to stay longer in a situation or a location, there are opportunities there God wants him or her to explore. It might also be that there are lessons to learn.

As believers, if you have not learned the lessons that God wants you to learn out of the situation, you are not going anywhere.

Psalm 119:71

“It is good for me that I have been afflicted, That I may learn Your statutes.”

David further said in Psalm Psalm 119:67

“Before I was humbled, I offended; therefore, have I kept thy word.”

You know there are Christians who try to leave anything worse than they met it, and they think they can jump into something else and make greatness out of it.”

Jesus said in Luke 16:12

“And if you have not been trustworthy with someone else’s property, who will give you property of your own?”

May The Lord help you to at least make something better than you met it so that He might move and promote you. Amen.

Tomorrow, we shall continue with PSALM 23(HE LEADS ME…) How would a man or a woman know God is the one leading?
