JOHN CHAPTER 2
1. And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there
2. And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage.
3. And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine.
4. Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come.
LESSONS:
●The mother of Jesus was probably the link through which Jesus was invited to the wedding.
Anywhere you find yourself, there is a link.
● The mother reported to Jesus that they had no wine. Why? She probably expected him to help them.
To buy wine 🍷 for them? NO!
People don’t receive help in life because they ask the right person the wrong request.
James 4:3
You ask and do not receive because you ask wrongly
The mother was possibly asking Jesus for a miracle because she knew him to be the son of God.
There are things God would have done in many lives, but they think every of their needs is only money.
Even though you needed money to solve the problem, do you think God can not solve it without asking for money?
● Jesus said mine hour is not yet come. You have to understand we do not just work alone. We work in conjunction with heavenly being.
John 5:17
“But Jesus answered them, “My Father is working until now, and I am working.”
You are a coworker, both with the heavenly hosts and humans.
Do not think you work only with humans. Angels are part of your teamwork.
Have you ever worked in a team? Each one has what to contribute.
PROVERS 18:9
Even one that is slack in his work is brother to him that is a destroyer.
Jesus called his mother woman because the works of God only respect obedience to God.
The criteria are:
Proverbs 22:29
“Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.
