THANKS GIVING
PSALM 103:2
“Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits”
To forget His benefits is to ignore his benefits even when you remember.
Has this ever happened to you before when you saw something that reminded you of something The Lord did for you in the past.
When you remembered, did you give thanks.
To give thanks is not just singing or giving an offering on Thanksgiving Sunday.
To give thanks is to do something deliberately in connection with what God did in the past and as a testimony to the Lord’s goodness.
EXAMPLE:
Let’s say you drove past a small village where you grew up and you saw the old building or you once lived. The giving of thanks at that moment is to do something in that environment that will make the people happy.
You may decide to come out of your car and have a picture with the children playing outside and even bless them with gifts š.
If God blessed you so much, you may even decide to build a modern toilet for them or a solar street light.
What a glorious joy would be amongst the angels who behold God’s face on behalf of those children.
Look back at different stages of your life and give thanks. Forget not all His benefits.
That’s what He asked me to tell you. Stay lifted.
