TEXT: JAMES 2:3
“”And so it happened just as the Scriptures say: “Abraham believed God, and God counted him as righteous because of his faith.” He was even called the friend of God.”
A good friend is not known only in good times but also in challenging times.
A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity.
Proverbs 17:17
No wonder God called Abraham His friend, because they shared the moment of laughter and pains together.
God told Abraham to sacrifice His only son because God himself sacrificed His only begotten son.
Paul called suffering for Christ fellowship. Phil 3:10
After times of joy and suffering that Jesus had with his disciples, this is what he said:
‘ I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.d John 15:15
God is still calling men and women His friends.
2 Timothy 2:12
“If we endure, we will also reign with him.
What do you and God share in common?
PRAYER/CONFESSION : Father. help me see beyond my present challenges.
PROPHETIC : The same people who tried to silence the blind man walked up to him and said ” cheer up, he is calling you.”*
