*THE MIRROR*
*JAMES 1;23, 24*
“For if anyone is a *hearer of the word and not a doer,* he is like a man *observing his natural face in a mirror;* for he observes himself, *goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was.*
*The Holy Spirit our teacher says we should move to the book of James.*
We ask that The Holy Spirit teach us today in Jesus name. Amen 🙏
There are different types of mirrors. For example, the side mirror on your car is to help you while driving.
The particular mirror mentioned in the above scripture is the one we use to look at our faces.
James is telling us that the mirror does not keep a permanent memory.
Only what we do while infront of the mirror that is important.
Therefore, to be doer of the word is not just reading the word and making a resolution to adjust.
To be doers of the word is to make the adjustment right there.
In *2 Corinthians 3:18* the word of God is likened to a mirror.
“But we all, with unveiled face, *beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord.”*
When you stand before the mirror, what the mirror shows you is you.
So, the glory that God says we are beholding is you.
Therefore, to be the doer of the word, what you seek and accept is the identity of you that is revealed.
This is not just you looking for sets of rules you should do and things you should not.
One major way to see you is to see all that Christ represented unto us when he was in human form.
When you read Bible, what you should part with is the image of you before God. Once you accept this, your lifestyle will follow.
The errors children of God make is that they struggle to form a lifestyle first.
Accept your identity first and you are the doer of the word.
*The act is simply the monitor of what the heart display.*
If you struggle to accept the identity that God reveals, you will struggle to live the life that comes from it.
You are God’s glory. You say no to sin. You can do all things through Christ who gives you strength. You are healthy, wealthy and favored. You can not be defeated because Christ was not. You have more than enough.
Those who talk like this understand that, the natural is not meant to overtake the spiritual.
They don’t move by what they see or feel physically. They create a pathway for spirit man to be ahead by speaking forth what they accept.
The physical realms(i.e your experiences in the physical realms) will always try to come first, but then you must push your human spirit ahead.
This was what happened when Ishmael was born before Isaac, Cain born before Abel, and Esau born before Jacob.
Eventually, God chose the second above the first.
You may see the symptoms of everything happening in the natural first, it is natural for it to be, but speak the spirit man ahead by your defined identity from God.
This scripture settles it.
*1 Corinthians 15:46*
*The spiritual did not come first, but the natural,* and *after that the spiritual.*
The natural began first and then the spiritual overtook and became first.
If a vehicle is driving in the front of you and you want to overtake, you accelerate and continue to accelerate until you pass the vehicle.
The same is applicable. Accelerate the word you speak, if not you will still be seeing everything happening naturally that is not supposed to be.
Get your identity back from the word of God and start living the Life of God.
Stay lifted.
