*EXPERIENCE*

*JOHN 9:7*

And He said to him, “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam” (which is translated, Sent). So he went and washed *and came back seeing.*

Yesterday, The Holy taught us to rely on fresh encounters from God and that we shouldn’t just go ahead and park natural clay but wait upon the one freshly made by Jesus Himself.

Today, He is saying *”EXPERIENCE”*

Although this man’s eye 👁 opened, he couldn’t find his way back to his house without someone assisting him. The reason was that he had never seen anything because he was born blind.

The difference between him and the one who brought him back home was EXPERIENCE. The person knew the way because he took that road all the time.

If you are new in a country, even though you can drive, you may first need someone to drive you around.

Hebrew 5:12

*”For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again…”*

Afterward, you will need your own personal experience.

You will first need to start driving with someone sitting beside you.

Then, you will migrate to driving alone without anyone. Just know that no one will permanently sit beside you while driving.

When the children of Isreal got to the border of Canaan land that God promised them, they sent representatives to go into the land and bring the fruit.

After they tasted of the fruits, the manna ceased.

Joshua 5:12

*”The manna stopped the day after they ate this food from the land; there was no longer any manna for the Israelites, but that year, they ate the produce of Canaan.”*

There are Christians who have been saved for years and seem like they no longer experience miracles like they used to.

You know why? Just like no mother will help a 18 year old boy or girl brush the teeth, there are things God will not do for you anymore because He knows you know what to do.

When you were babies, you received miraculous provisions. Even when you don’t give, you keep receiving more.

That’s what happened when the prodigal son returned.

Once you become mature and God has taught you about giving to others and you disobey, you will no longer receive.

That’s where some of you have found yourself now. Do you think God raised you for you alone? it is not about you only.

When you grow older in a family, not only will your mum stop cooking for you all the time, but you will resume and start to cook for everyone.

When you were immature, God used the obedience of another to supply your needs.

Deuteronomy 8: 1-4

1. *”The whole commandment that I command you today you shall be careful to do, that you may live and multiply, and go in and possess the land that the Lord swore to give to your fathers.*

2. And you shall remember the whole way that the Lord *your God has led you these forty years in the wilderness, that he might humble you, testing you to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep his commandments or not.*

3. …and fed you with manna, which you did not know, nor did your fathers know, *that he might make you know that man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.*

4. *Your clothing did not wear out on you*

God reminded them how He took care of them during their immature stage.

Now, He is telling them what the goal was even though He was doing that for them.

*THAT MAN SHALL NOT LIVE BY BREAD ALONE BUT BY EVERY WORD THAT PROCEEDS FROM THE MOUTH OF THE LORD*

There is a level higher than the manna, which THE Lord has preserved for you. You will access it by obeying what God tells you.

Some challenged Jesus while His disciples were not fasting, *and his response was that the time would come when they would begin to fast.*

We are talking about *EXPERIENCE.*

You must experience God by your continuous obedience to His word. *THE WORD WORKS MIRACLES.*

JOB 22

22. *Receive, I pray thee, the law from his mouth, and lay up his words in thine heart.*

23. *If thou return to the Almighty, thou shalt be built up, thou shalt put away iniquity far from thy tabernacles.*

24. *Then shalt thou lay up gold as dust,*

As matured believers in Christ, if you continue to prosper in disobedience, then Satan wants to kill you.

If you are a pastor and you have so many old members who are mature believers but do not obey the teachings you have passed on to them, you will experience less miraculous.

The miraculous happen most times when we have more baby believers.

ACT 17:30

*”The times of ignorance therefore God overlooked. But now he commands that all people everywhere should repent,”*
