TOPIC: HOW TO MOVE FROM LACK TO BEING BLESSED
TEXT: JOHN 4:10
Jesus answered her, “ If you knew the gift of God* and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you
This is like Jesus saying, “if you knew how God does it whenever He wants to give you something. God always asks you first for whatever He wants to give you.”
If you study God well starting from Abraham, you will realize that,
God asked Abraham to sacrifice his only begotten son because He too would give His only begotten.
Hanna gave God a Prophet ever before conception and God opened her womb to have many children.
The widow gave her last and God cleared her debt.
The ‘confused’ thing about those that God asked was that, they didn’t have what God requested or they just had little.
God knows who you are most when you don’t have. He doesn’t ask from those who have much so that He could make much from little that come from obedient heart.
God is always the first to give. Your giving only reveals His gift. Rom 11:35
“Who has first given to God, that God should repay him?”
Also, The Bible says His ways are perfect. It means, complete and made simple
It doesn’t take complexity for God to take you out of lack into abundance. That’s the same way your salvation was very simple.
And those whom He considers first and gives advantage to are those who do not have much of what He asks for. That’s how He takes the Glory.
PRAYER/CONFESSION : Father, now I know what to do. Take my little that I give and bless me in turn. I have sown in tears and will reap in joy.
